Mirror in Artwork
The Flores is a true work of art. A design mirror with a printed copy of the ‘Still life with flowers’, painted by Jan Davidsz. de Heem in the 17th century. The romantic image is placed on top of the mirror with a screen printing technique. This creates smooth transitions between the mirror and the flowers. Made by Deknudt, the oval mirror is a great example of their craftsmanship.

The work ‘Still life with flowers in a glass vase’ is currently hanging in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, but with the Flores it is possible to get a piece of this beautiful painting into the house. The Dutchman Jan Davidsz. de Heem was obsessed with flowers and always tried to capture the most beautiful. Mirror maker Deknudt tried the same with the Flores. The still life has been converted to grayscale and the mirror gradually brings the painting to the foreground. This makes the Flores not only a mirror, but also a work of art.
When you order a mirror from Usi Maison, we will deliver the mirror within the Netherlands for free!
To ship to the UK or other European countries, we work with UPS or DHL for small mirrors. The site will automatically charge you €17.95 for shipping.
For our bigger mirrors, we use Jan Krediet or Wim Bosman Transport. Contact us to find out the amount of the extra costs for transport, as we can’t automatically charge it through the site.
